Rules, Guidelines, Code of Conduct

All applicants must be at least 21 years of age on or before Dec 31, 2015.

If you are selected, you will be expected to:

– Attend a Celebrity Judging event for a spot in 2016 calendar.

Event date: Friday, May 22, 2015

– Attend introductory meeting to learn about mission, policies and procedures.

– Attend 75% of Ks Firefighter Calendar events (i.e. signings, kids day events, media interviews, & special events such as Coats For Kids Day -December 5, 2015)

– Conduct in a professional manner & hold yourself accountable for your actions.

– Sell minimum of 50 calendars

– Participate in one or more photo shoots for a group shot & calendar month shot.

The calendar committee members, judges and a live audience will determine who will be selected to appear in the calendar. Firefighters will receive no monetary compensation by participating in this project. All proceeds from the sale of the calendars will benefit the Coats for Kids Project, Fire Camp for youth, and the Kansas Firefighters Museum.

Submit 2 photos that shows your best (One face pic, one full body pic).
Men: photos may be shirtless.
Women: sports, fitted crop-tops are welcomed.
Everyone: NO skimpy bikinis or inappropriate pictures, as these will automatically disqualify your entry. NO “selfies”cell phone shots.  NO more than two pictures may be submitted. (One full body & one face portrait-style allowed)

CODE OF CONDUCT:

We are professionals representing an outstanding group with a  mission to raise funds for children, honorable causes, and Honoring our Kansas Fallen Firefighters. ACT LIKE IT!

All participants, volunteers, spouses, and guests will be held to the same standards of the Code Of Conduct.

Gambling, fighting, swearing, and similar unprofessional activities while participating in events or activities representing the Kansas Firefighter Calendar Team will be prohibited.

All participants, volunteers, and invited guests join in the responsibility for our team’s positive public relations and community goodwill along with the willingness to help with charitable, educational, and civic activities.

Behavior engaging in sexual harassment, or conduct in any way that could possibly be construed as sexual harassment will not be tolerated.  If there is any doubt about this – DON’T DO IT!

No unethical conduct such as payment for illegal acts or unlawful contributions will be tolerated.

Dress:  When representing the Kansas Firefighter Calendar Team, all participants and volunteers will wear proper attire when conducting business for, or attending events. Calendar Team members will receive no less than a 24 hour notice of proper dress for any event. Criteria and level of dress for each event will be given prior to each event.  Calendar participants who wear any official Department uniform must have the permission of their Department. Blue jeans (without holes) are typically worn at events with Official Calendar Team shirts and shall be treated as the same level as any official Department uniform. Questions about attire can be addressed with the firefighter liaisons.

Alcohol:

The consumption of alcoholic beverages will be allowed in moderation at events where alcohol is legally served.  Abide all regulations at events where it is prohibited. Any impaired Committee Member, Calendar Participants, Invited Guests, and/or Volunteers will be asked to leave the event. The Kansas Firefighters Museum/ Kansas Firefighter Calendar Committee will not be responsible or liable for any impaired person’s transportation or conduct.  If you are asked to leave an event, you risk being prevented from participating from any future events.

Funds:

Any money you receive  for The Kansas Firefighter Calendar is held in trust. Any participant or volunteer who becomes aware of any fraudulent or dishonest behavior should notify the organizer, immediately.

It is vital that all participants not compromise the integrity or damage the reputation the of the Kansas Firefighter Calendar or any individual, business, or government body.

REMEMBER THAT YOU ARE AMONG THE BEST, CHOSEN  TO PARTICIPATE IN THE KANSAS FIREFIGHTER CALENDAR. YOU REPRESENT A NOBLE AND RESPECTED PROFESSION AND ARE DOING A GREAT DEED FOR CHILDREN AND HONORING OUR FALLEN FIREFIGHTERS. BE HUMBLE AND MAKE US PROUD TO BE PART OF A GREAT TEAM!
